Authorities have put out an enormous fire that broke out on Tuesday evening at a block of flats in Sharjah.
Social media footage showed the 48-storey Abbco Tower engulfed by flames.
Sharjah Civil Defence said they were called to the scene shortly after 9pm on Tuesday.
Several fire engines were trying to bring the inferno under control, while neighbouring residents in at least five buildings nearby were quickly moved to safety.
Cars were damaged by the falling debris from the burning building.
Residents took to Twitter to share footage of flames tearing up one side of the building.
Officials have yet to confirm the cause of the fire and it is not known if there have been any casualties.
