Sod Cutting Ceremony Held For Road Construction in Techiman – Tanoso

The people of Tanoso in the Techiman Municipality were engulfed with feeling of optimism as a sod cutting ceremony performed to pave way for construction of a major road in the town by government.

The event took place on Wednesday 29th April 2020 at Tanoso led by NPP Member of Parliament for Techiman south Hon. Henry Yiadom Boakye and was in response to numerous calls made by the people of Tanoso to governments for construction of the ‘asubrofo’ road and others in the town.

Addressing nananom and the people of Tanoso, Hon. Yiadom Boakye indicated that, plans are advanced to stretch the road to neighbouring towns, Sonkone, Koase, Twimea nkwanta to the Sunyani link road, starting with the first phase of one kilometer from Tanoso to be tarred under ministry of roads and high ways.

Enumerating his achievements he reassured that additional 6 unit classroom block is in the pipe line to expand the Kwarteng Ankomah Senior High aside an ultra modern teachers bungalow and 25 packs of roofing sheets delivered to the school to augment efforts in uplifting the standard of the school.

Nana Kwarku Kwarteng vi, Chief of Tanoso and afutuhene of Techiman traditional area was thankful to government for granting his long time request and appealed for more support from government, stating that, development of Tanoso remains more Paramount to him regardless of which party is in power.

Key among the delegation to the event were Hon. John Donyina MCE, Techiman, Hon. Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah Deputy Minister for regional reorganization and a parliamentary aspirant for Techiman south including some regional and constituency executives of the NPP in Bono East.
