Sick SHS student dies after allegedly being denied permission to go for treatment
Information reaching the front desk of Ghpage.com indicates that a second-year general arts student of Dwamena Akenten Senior High School at Offinso in the Offinso South district of the Ashanti Region of Ghana has died in the dormitory at the school.
According to reports, the sick student ( name undisclosed) died shortly after allegedly being denied an exeat to go for treatment by the housemaster of the school.
The family of the deceased is blaming the senior housemaster of the school of deliberately refusing the student permission to seek medical attention when his health condition had visibly worsened.
From a student’s information provided when interviewed by Ultimate FM’s correspondent revealed that the deceased was found dead in the dormitory after normal school hours.
The body of the deceased has reportedly been sent to the St. Patrick’s hospital for autopsy. Ghpage.com is following the story to give an update. Meanwhile, the school authorities are yet to voice out anything concerning the death of their student.
