Odike deserve a harsher punishment than this-Joseph Oppong Brenya.

Joseph Oppong Brenya believes the Founder and Leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Akwasi Addai ‘Odike’ deserve a harsher punishment than what he is receiving.

He took to his facebook wall to explain why he thinks the chiefs should not be lenient with Odike. He also think the decision to stop Oyerepa Fm from broadcasting is in the best interest of the Radio Station they could be attack for given their platform to Odike to denigrate Manhyia.

Below is he post of facebook.

People don’t understand what Odike said that provoked Manhyia. It is not about the chiefs engaging in Galamsey comments, because we all support that part of his comment.

Otumfour himself has on many occasions reprimanded his chiefs and has admonished them against Galamsey, I believe he himself will support that part of Odike’s comments.

There are two things he said that was a direct insults to Otumfour and Manhyia.

1. He said, “Otumfour sits on the golden  we have heard you, but you can’t sit on the Golden stool alone. This statement is a direct attack on the kingdom of Ashanti”

2. He said “People use to call Otumfour, ‘the King Solomon’ but now people don’t call him king Solomon again”

These two comments are in a very bad taste that any chief anywhere will not tolerate it, so those raising issues about Galamsey and that Odike’s comments should not offend anyone should get the tape and listen.

In fact, Odike deserves harsher punishment than this. You can’t denigrate Manhyia for your political ambition.

*On the Closure of Oyerepa FM.*

Manhyia cannot close the Radio station just like that, they did that just to protect the station from attacks because people were angry and could attack them just as they attacked Odike’s office.
The decision is in the best Interest of the station and for peace to prevail*
