NPP suspends Parliamentary Aspirant Peter Wuni
One of the parliamentary aspirants for the New Patriotic Party in the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency has been suspended by the disciplinary committee of the party in the region for misconduct.
The suspended candidate, Hon. Peter Wuni who was the District Chief Executive for the East Mamprusi district in the Kuffour’s administration is one of four aspirants trying to unseat local government’s minister Hajia Alima Mahama.

Hon. Peter went on a local radio station in Nalerigu on the 12th of May, 2020 and leveled numerous allegations against his fiercest contender, Hajia Alima Mahama including rigging the 2004 parliamentary election’s results in her favor.
He also accused the party hierarchy in the region of bias, stating that most of the constituency and regional executives including the regional minister are actively campaigning for Hajia Alima contrary to what the the rules of the party expects of them during parliamentary primaries.
The suspension letter which has been intercepted by this site states among other things that, his suspension takes immediate effect and he is to cease campaigning until investigations into his misconduct and his subsequent appearance before the disciplinary committee is done.
Hon. Peter Wuni was the parliamentary candidate for the NPP in the 2012 general election. He has held other leadership positions in the party including constituency secretary and chairman.
