Nii Amarh Amarteifio writes to Abronye over his harsh reply to John Mahama.

Dear Abronye,

I have seen a copy of your letter in response to former President Mahama letter he authorized his lawyers to write to the CID.

I am struggling to comprehend the purpose of your letter which is full of diatribe, invectives, condescending words, morbid hatred and spurious allegations.

The letter from the lawyers was to the the CID to invite you to substantiate your allegations. It was not a letter directed at you.

Has the CID written to you to respond? If it is true, can we all see the letter from the CID to you hence this response?

Truth be told, I detest you kind of politics but I respect you opinions. The constitution has given everyone the space to express himself…but we need to do with uttermost respect, especially to people who had or are occupying high political office like the office of the president.

Don’t forget a President today will be a former Presdent tomorrow. Is a matter of 4 or 8 years.

For a Regional Chairman of your party to described former president John Dramani Mahama as a “Certain John Dramani Mahama who describes himself as former president ” I think is disrespectful and must be condemned.

I don’t know what gives you the impetus and the vigor to disrespect and insult our former president—but if it is power, let me remind you that is transient..and if it is bravery or courage then let me remind you of what Arthur Conan Doyle said: It is stupidity rather than courage to refuse to recognize danger when it is close upon you.’

Please be guided.

Thank you!

PS: The dates you sighted are problematic, the case of former president meeting the diplomatic community is 2019 not 2020.
