MADAMFO GHANA,a Non-governmental organization as a social responsibility donated 14 veronica buckets and other items to the West Mamprusi municipal assembly in the North East Region to help fight the global pandemic COVID-19 in the municipality.
Though the municipality and the Region as a whole is yet to register a Covid-19 case, the municipal chief executive Mr Arimiyaw Somo Lucky Basintale and the municipal Health Director are doing everything possible to help prevent citizens in the municipality from contracting the virus.
A representative of MADAMFO GHANA in the municipality Mr Amos who happens to be a former assembly member for Yama electoral area a suburb of walewale presented the items to the MCE on behalf of the NGO and also pleads to the beneficiaries of the items to make good use of them and also take the measures given by Ghana health service serious in order to prevent them from getting the virus.
On behalf of West Mamprusi Municipal Emergency covid-19 committee, the MCE and the municipal health director thanked the NGO for their kind gesture to the municipality and promised them that the items will be put into good use.
The MCE in his closed remarks appealed to other benevolent organizations to emulate what MADAMFO GHANA did in order to help fight the deadly covid-19 pandemic.
