Hack CODVID 19 Initiative launched to prevent cases and spread of the virus.

The Newmont Ahafo development foundation (NADeF)Scholarship Beneficiaries and Associates(NASBA) in collaboration
with Organisations for People(OPI), Ahafo NGOs Network(ANGONET), Sharine Foundation, AMEND Foundation and the Ahafo media network have launched the Hack COVID-19 Initiative in kenyasi in the Asutifi North District of the Ahafo region of Ghana.

“The initiative is to prevent the first novel corona virus case ever in the  Asutifi North District and also to mobilise and build capacity of community health volunteers and frontline team in Asutifi North District to combat the virus should there be a recorded case.” – Mr Emmanuel Marfo, the project’s technical advisor revealed

According to the secretary,Madam Portia Kyei building capacity for emergency stuffing with the skill required to meet the needs of the frontline workers at the district and deliver critical home essentials such as food and medical needs to quarantine and isolated individuals.

He also added that  Supply of preventive tools to institutions like hospitals, CHIPS compounds, market, stores, public toilets and  Supply of preventive tools to the needy and the vulnerable is expedient.

HACK COVID-19

The finance officer for the hack CODVID 19 project, Madam Fatima Abdulai appealed that with the project’s budget of twelve thousand cedis ( GH 12000) , they look forward to individuals, corporate bodies, philanthropists, benevolent organizations all and sundry to donate in cash and in kind to support the needy and homeless in the Asutifi enclave.
