Government to fund 5,000 entrepreneurs in window 3 of Presidential Business Support Programme.

The National Entrepreneurship and innovation programme-NEIP under the Ministry of Business Development, has commenced training of entrepreneurs in all the 260 district in the window 3 of the Presidential Business Support Programme
Unlike the the first and the second window, applicants will have to apply through the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in all the 16 regions of the country.
Launching the Programme, the Minister of Business Development, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Awal Mohammed said 100 entrepreneurs will be trained in each district making it 260,000 entrepreneurs to receive training and 5,000 entrepreneurs will be funded after the training.
He said the Presidential support Programme is the initiative of the President, Nana Akufo Addo to support entrepreneurs and also develop the entrepreneurs ecosystem
Four thousand one hundred and thirty five young Ghanaian entrepreneurs have received seed fund as part of the first and second window of the Presidential Business Support Programme.
Beneficiaries received between GH¢10,000 and GH¢100,000 relative to their business proposition and need.
The programme since it’s inception, has trained 19,000 entrepreneurs in the country.
Speaking at the launch of the programme, the Chief Executive officer of NEIP, John Kumah said 5,000 entrepreneurs will be selected after the training and received funding ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 Ghana Cedis
Touching on previous beneficiaries, Mr. Kumah revealed most of them are doing well with their business and repayment is very encouraging
The funding, which is a loan payable annually at a rate of 10 percent, is to support these entrepreneurs start and expand their businesses and create more jobs through this process.
