Former president Mahama donates to the Walewale municipal hospital

Former president of the republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has donated some PPEs to the Walewale municipal hospital to help them in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The items donated include 40 pieces of PPEs and inside a pack of a PPE has the gown, N95, nose mask, a goggle, and a hand sanitizer. Other items include 40 pieces of gumboots and 41 pieces of liquid soap.

The presentation was made by Dr Thomas Anaaba, Dr. Vida Yarkong and Dr. Prosper Akanbong on behalf of the former president and the NDC COVID-19 Response Team on Friday, 24th April, 2020.

The medical doctor of the hospital, Dr. Shahadu Shaibu who received the items on behalf of the management and staff of the hospital thanked the former president and his team for the kind gesture. He declared that the items presented will go a long way to help the hospital in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

A similar donation was made to the Nalerigu Baptist Medical Center after the Walewale hospital’s donation.

The North East region has so far recorded two cases of the coronavirus with one death whiles several others are still observing mandatory quarantine after contact tracing from the two cases.
