Family of eight loses their lives in a devastating car accident
In the Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo state, a car accident at the Amanwozuzu crossroads claimed the lives of an eight-member family.
Around three o’clock on Friday, December 29, the horrible tragedy happened.
The family’s father collided with a halted truck transporting rods while operating a Sienna with his wife and kids.According to witnesses, the victims’ bodies were punctured by the rod, causing their instantaneous deaths.
The family members’ lifeless bodies were extracted from the vehicle using broken parts.The dead have been placed in a mortuary by Ikeduru Local Government Area Division police officers.
The driver of the Sienna car struck the stationary truck, which was parked at the side of the road, according to Lucky Ahiole, the Chief Superintendent of Police who oversees the Divisional Police Officer for the Ikeduru Local Government Area.
Ahiole exclaimed, “It’s awful.” We have carried the eight deceased to a mortuary. To remove the deceased bodies, we had to smash the Sienna car. Even the children perished after the rod entered their bodies and eyes.
