The vice president Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia at the commencement of his speech showed how shocked to see the numbers that were gathered waiting for his arrival. He detailed the purpose of the gathering, emphasizing the rationale of him cutting the sod for construction of the Kente Museum in Bonwire within the Ejisu constituency.
He told them how extraordinary the event is, as the people of Bonwire will be soon getting a museum for showcasing the kente apparel, an edifice which is part of the one district one factory initiative. Annex the museum project is a tertiary vocational school which will then help train people of Bonwire and provide job opportunities for them in the locality and the people of Ejisu.
The vice president posited that he knows very well that the people of Bonwire and Ejisu really trust in the completion of the project because they can testify what the NPP government under the leadership of Nana Addo is doing for the people of Ghana. He also said the only government that has better plans for the development is the NPP government. He acknowledged former president J. A Kuffuor for smooth governance during his tenure.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia again in his speech told the people of Bonwire to cast their votes to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and Lawyer John Ampontuah Kumah in the coming December election to continue the good work they are doing for Ejisu and motherland Ghana and that the target of the constituency which is 95%, the constituents should make it 99%.
He further praised the Parliamentary Candidate for his hardwork and commitment in the Akufo-Addo Government.
Ending his speech, the Vice president made mention of the Boankra inland port which will be soon constructed. He said the president of the republic of Ghana his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo will be in Kumasi very soon to cut sod for the construction of the inland port to begin; a project whose completion will also help provide jobs for the people of Ejisu.
