The Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Monday, April 11th 20022 launched the National Youth Volunteer Program at Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi.

The program has been designed by the National Youth Authority to evoke the spirit of volunteerism, and civic responsibility and rekindle the spirit of nationalism in Ghana’s youth.
According to Dr. Bawumia, the Program will coordinate volunteer activities in the country and will implement Modules to develop active citizens, foster national cohesion, and create opportunities for skills development among young people in areas such as Agriculture, Education, Health, Infrastructure, Afforestation, Community Self-Help Programme, Science, Research and Technology among others.
“It will further prepare Ghanaian youth for the future, the government is investing heavily in Education, Vocational and technical training, and technology to empower the youth,” he said.
