Covid-19: We treat all African citizens in China with respect- Chinese Government

The Ghana Mission of Beijing has informed the Ministry that the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China H.E Chen Xiadong met a group of African Ambassadors including H.E Edward Boateng ,Ghana Ambassador to China to discuss the fallout of the largetting of African Nationals for compulsory testing, quarantine and eviction in the Guangdong Province

At the said meeting, it was announced that the Government if the People’s Republic of China has taken note of happenings and was taking immediate steps to stop the targetting of of an ill treatment neted out to Africans particularly our compatriots in the Guangdong Province

According to the Government of Ghana,measures are being putting in place to keenly monitor the situation

Again, on the the assurances received from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration therefore would like to entreat Ghanaians home and abroad including those living in China and particularly Guangdong Province to remain calm and stay in contact with our Mission in Beijing and the Consultate – General in Guangzhou and share concerns of futhur occurrence on the following numbers
