COVID-19 :FAMILY REFUSED TO ACCEPT DEATH RESULTS

Family of the late 19 year old Mumuni Issah who is reported to have died from the novel Coronavirus have rejected the report.
In an interview on Eagle FM, a Walewale based radio station, a brother to the deceased, Zakaria, narrated the circumstances leading to the demise of his brother.
He blamed the hospital authorities of negligence when they sent the deceased to the hospital. “The guy is a known asthmatic and BP patient for more than four years now. His records are there to show. The nurses didn’t attend to us for more than an hour when we got to the hospital”.
“The guy died in my hands inside a tricycle. It was after his death that they came with cotton wool to wipe some saliva from his mouth as a sample to go and test for the virus”. He refuted claims by the hospital that the deceased was admitted for four hours before his death.
He also accused the hospital authorities of delaying the results whilst keeping the body of their brother in the morgue. The family waited for the results until they begun to run out of patience because the body was beginning to decay due to the heat in the morgue.
Ibrahim Alhassan, another family member in an earlier interview also rejected the report given them, citing some inaccuracies in the report to back their position. According to the report, the deceased was admitted to the hospital on the 4th of April, 2020 which is false. The deceased according to the family was rather sent to the hospital on the 6th. He stated emphatically that the family is not accepting the results when asked whether or not they will accept the results.
The next line of action to be taken by the family is not readily known but a close source has it that they may be considering a legal action against the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Walewale township is in a state of fear and panic as majority of inhabitants have imposed a self lockdown.
