COVID-19 cases in Western North jumps to 81

The Western North Region on Wednesday, June 17, recorded two new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, all sent to the laboratory for testing. The Confirmed cases of the deadly Coronavirus in the region have jumped from 79 to 81.
Ghana’s COVID-19 case count now stands at 12, 590 after 397 new cases were added according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS) website on Wednesday afternoon.
The number of recoveries now stands at 4,410 and death toll, 66 after 8 new deaths were recorded.
Out of the 8 deaths, 6 came from the Ashanti region while 2 were recorded in the Greater Accra region. 3 were females, with the remaining 5 been males.
This brings the total number of active cases to 8,114. Four of the cases are critical with 2 on ventilators and 13 severe.
