Construction of Walewale watermelon factory finally begins months after sod cutting

The Vice President of Ghana Dr.Mahamadu Bawumia did cut a sort for the construction of a watermelon factory in walewale a suberb of the North East Region.
The factory is cited at Loagri a suburb of walewale along the walewale Tamale road.
Farmers in the Region are noted for cultivating large farms of watermelon but some of the farmers sometimes runs at a lost because of luck of ready market for their produce, so the sod cutting came as good news for them as it will benefit them when the factory starts production after completion.
The good news for the good people in the Region is that work has started about three weeks ago and the contractor is on site as work is progressing steadily.

According to the foreman Mr Paul,the project is expected to be completed in six months if unforseen contingencies does not occur and production of watermelon juice will also starts by end of the year.
They have also so far employed about 20-30% of workers in the area which can increase to 60-70% when more hands are needed.
The main goal or objective of the flagship program 1district 1factory is to creat employment opportunities for the unemployed youths in the districts across the country which walewale municipal is no exception.
