The Chief Executive Officers (CEOS) for the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) as well as the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Lawyers John Ampontuah Kumah and Justin Kodua Frimpong, early Thursday morning paid a working visit to some of Training Centres in the Ashanti Region on the ongoing Nationwide Entrepreneurship training .
It will be recalled that on January 21, 2020 NEIP entered into an agreement with the Youth Employment Agency to create more jobs for the youth in the country.
The collaboration will see NEIP offer various packages including entrepreneurship training, access to funding, to Ten Thousand (10,000) beneficiaries of the YEA modules aimed at equipping them to start their own businesses.
NEIP will continue to deliver on the vision of the President to create jobs for the Ghanaian youth and to ensure that they become business owners.
The collaboration between NEIP and YEA is to ensure that when YEA beneficiaries are ready to exit their modules there is a a strategy in place to prepare them to be on their own.
YEA beneficiaries who successfully complete the training and have innovative business ideas will be eligible to receive funding from NEIP’s Presidential Business Support Fund.
Lawyer Kumah expressed delight at the enthusiasm shown by the youth on the project.
He urged them to take the training seriously so as to enable them be on their feet when they pass out.
Lawyer Justin Kodua commended the youth for showing the resolve to work.
He urged them to allow themselves to be shaped by the training so as to function effectively when they step out.
