Akufo-Addo jet Off To Abu Dhabi And London

On Saturday, January 14, 2023, President Akufo-Addo left Ghana to head a team to the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) is a global campaign to promote sustainable development and improve economic, social, and environmental progress that is supported by the UAE and its renewable energy powerhouse Masdar.
In order to discuss and engage on ambitious climate action and technologies that will secure a more sustainable world for future generations, ADSW, which was founded in 2008, brings together heads of state, policymakers, industry leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and youth.
The following day, on January 19, President Akufo-Addo will fly from Abu Dhabi to London for a six-day private visit.

Along with representatives from the Presidency and Foreign Ministry, the President was accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, MP; the Ministers for Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh; Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor; and Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Dr. Kwaku Afriyie.
On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, President Akufo-Addo will return to Ghana. In his absence, Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would preside over the country in accordance with Article 60(8) of the Constitution.
